Health & Safety

Keeping people safe is my top priority. Luckily, with being outside, we are in a relatively safe environment for COVID prevention; we also can keep 6 feet distance and/or wear masks depending on COVID guidelines at the time of the walk.

Before your Forest Therapy:

  • Dress for the weather. We spend a lot of time in stillness, or very slow movement, so our body heat doesn’t keep us as warm as it would on a typical walk. DRESS WARMER than you think, and bring/wear lots of layers.

  • Bring water and a snack.

  • Wearing long pants and closed shoes will help prevent scrapes, bug bites, and exposure to poison ivy.

  • In buggy seasons, wear or bring insect repellent, and/or wear long pants and shoes if you are sensitive to bug bites.

  • See my Tick Awareness page.

During your Forest Therapy

  • Listen to your body. Take care of yourself.

  • Check for ticks. (See my Tick Awareness page.)

  • Avoid poison ivy.

  • Follow CDC guidelines for COVID prevention.
