Health & Safety
Keeping people safe is my top priority. Luckily, with being outside, we are in a relatively safe environment for COVID prevention; we also can keep 6 feet distance and/or wear masks depending on COVID guidelines at the time of the walk.
Before your Forest Therapy:
Dress for the weather. We spend a lot of time in stillness, or very slow movement, so our body heat doesn’t keep us as warm as it would on a typical walk. DRESS WARMER than you think, and bring/wear lots of layers.
Bring water and a snack.
Wearing long pants and closed shoes will help prevent scrapes, bug bites, and exposure to poison ivy.
In buggy seasons, wear or bring insect repellent, and/or wear long pants and shoes if you are sensitive to bug bites.
During your Forest Therapy
Listen to your body. Take care of yourself.
Check for ticks. (See my Tick Awareness page.)
Avoid poison ivy.
Follow CDC guidelines for COVID prevention.
